Classic Cars
One of the special attractions of coming to stay at our cottage
is the on-site collection of classic cars on show in the garage/gallery
adjoining the house. These are available for viewing by the
general public on a by-appointment basis and our self-catering
guests will be given privileged access to the collection.
This may include closer inspection of the cars including mechanical
detail, a tour of the local countryside, opportunities for
a photographic session or reference to our library of books
on the Rolls-Royce and Bentley marques.
We particularly encourage classic car enthusiasts to make us their base for a motoring holiday
in their own classic vehicles. There is an outstanding range
of routes, both picturesque and technically challenging, starting
and finishing in our part of Scotland. Visiting owners will
be able to use a lock-up garage for their cars within the
security system in operation for the existing collection.
Please let us know at the time of booking if you have a special
interest in classic cars of any make or if you plan to bring
one on your visit to Thornhill.
