The Cottage
The ideal basis for staying here is for a family of four
or five or for two couples travelling together. The facilities
are thoroughly modern within a house of architectural interest
built more than two hundred years ago. The location is secluded
and peaceful but within easy reach of the nearby villages
and the city of Stirling.
Listed Four Star by VisitScotland and the local Tourist Board,
we offer a high standard of comfort including fully ensuite
bedrooms, central heating, copious hot water, dishwasher, separate
laundry and drying facilities in the nearby outbuildings, private
entrance and parking area. There is a paved terrace opposite
the front door equipped with garden furniture which is a sun
trap in good weather. A local area connection is available for internet access.
The ground floor of the cottage has no steps and the twin ensuite
bedroom on this level is easily accessible to those with limited
mobility.
The usual arrangement for self-catering holidays at North Mid
Frew Cottage is a one week let from Saturday afternoon (4pm)
through till 10am the following Saturday. Separate tailor-made
lets may be available for festive and other special periods
(Easter, Christmas, New Year, Whitsun, August bank holiday).
Out of season we are willing to offer special long weekend,
midweek or month-long lets on a case-by-case basis.
Smoking is not permitted in the cottage and we regret that we
cannot accept pets. We are pleased to be able to provide cleaning
and laundry services for an extra charge.
The cottage is directly linked through lockable doors to our
house and we have furnished and equipped it in keeping with
a family home. We ask our guests to respect that situation.
